Mitchell Tenpenny Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend Meghan Patrick

Mitchell Tenpenny Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend Meghan Patrick

Country star Mitchell Tenpenny got engaged to longtime girlfriend Meghan Patrick on Wednesday (November 24).

Tenpenny popped the question to his fellow country artist at the popular Losers Bar & Grill in Nashville.

Tenpenny told People that he decided to propose this week as he wanted his and Patrick's families to be present in Nashville.

"I met Meghan here so it was the perfect place - and hey, I got engaged 'at the end of a bar!'" Tenpenny joked, alluding to the title of his song with fellow hitmaker Chris Young.

Patrick said she had an inkling Tenpenny could be popping the big question soon.

"With my family coming into town this weekend I thought maybe, because we have talked about this for a while," she said. "But I did not expect this! This is the most perfect engagement I could have ever imagined."

"I had a whole speech planned and it disappeared [in the moment]. I wasn't able to say everything I wanted to. I was nervous - and relieved. She was crying, I was crying. All I wanted was to hear her say yes!" Tenpenny said.

"I also thought there would be all these things I would have said," Patrick told People. "And all I could get out was 'Yes!' Then we both awkwardly stumbled around trying to get the ring on my finger."

Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Bathe Together In New '1883' Teaser

Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Bathe Together In New '1883' Teaser

A new teaser for the "Yellowstone" prequel "1883" shows country stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, starring as James and Margaret Dutton in the show, taking a bath together.

The two-minute teaser clip for the Taylor Sheridan drama shows a smiling Hill holding Tim's face before he wraps her up for a long kiss.

The video, narrated by Dutton daughter Elsa (played by Isabel May), also focuses on the hardships of life in the late 19th century.

"I heard a thousand stories, but none could describe this place, it must be witnessed to be understood, and yet I've seen it and understand it even less than before I first cast eyes on this place," Elsa says as the clip opens. "There were two journeys, one was filled with danger and death and despair. The other, adventure and wonder."

"We weren't poor, we weren't desperate, the road west is filled with failures. It was a dream, and the dream was coming true," she continues.

Paramount+ released the full cast for "1883" and descriptions for many new characters, earlier in the week. "1883" begins on December 19 on Paramount+.

Don McClean Reacts To Taylor Swift Breaking Record For Longest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1

Don McClean Reacts To Taylor Swift Breaking Record For Longest Billboard Hot 100 No. 1

Don McLean has graciously reacted to Taylor Swift breaking his long-held record for the longest song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The 10-minute 13 second version of "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" recently broke the record held by McLean's 8 minute and 42 seconds-long song "American Pie" since 1972.

"Let's face it, nobody ever wants to lose that #1 spot, but if I had to lose it to somebody, I sure am glad it was another great singer/songwriter such as Taylor," McLean said in a statement posted on social media.

"There is something to be said for a great song that has staying power. 'American Pie' remained on top for 50 years and now Taylor Swift has unseated such a historic piece of artistry," he told Billboard.

Upon breaking the nearly 50-year record, an elated Taylor shared her joy with her fans on Twitter on Monday.

"I'm so proud of this song and the memories I have with you guys because of it. You truly chose this one and now you did THIS?! I'm floored. A ten minute song is at the top of the Hot 100," the singer-songwriter tweeted.

Taylor Swift, Ye Albums Reportedly Added To Grammy Nominees At Last Minute

Taylor Swift, Ye Albums Reportedly Added To Grammy Nominees At Last Minute

Taylor Swift's Evermore and Kanye West's Donda were reportedly added to the list of Grammy nominees at the very last minute.

The 2022 Grammy nominations were announced on Tuesday, November 23, but according to a New York Times report, the Recording Academy expanded its number of nominees from eight to ten in its big-four categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist, just the previous day.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. and board-of-trustees chair Tammy Hurt sent a letter out to the Academy's members on Tuesday, which was published in full on The Wrap, justifying the last-minute category change.

"The growth in music and your extraordinary engagement obligated us to seek this change. Perhaps in the past, the leadership would have waited for the next Awards cycle to make a change," reads the letter. "But one thing that we've heard loud and clear from you is that you are tired of waiting for big changes. You asked for - and you deserve - an organization that is as nimble and brave as you. In that spirit, we went to the Board of Trustees and made the case for this direction, and just minutes ago, they adopted it."

According to the Times report, West's Donda and Swift's Evermore, which were already nominated in other categories, were late additions to the album of the year nomination list.

Other nominees for album of the year include Justin Bieber's Justice, Olivia Rodrigo's Sour, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's Love For Sale, Doja Cat' Planer Her, H.E.R.'s Back Of My Mind, Billie Eilish's Happier Than Ever, Lil Nas X's Montero and Jon Batiste's We Are.

The Times also reported that the late expansion of the record of the year category saw Lil Nas X's "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)" and ABBA's "I Still Have Faith in You" added to the list that already included songs by Rodrigo, Bieber, Bennett and Lady Gaga, Batiste, Doja Cat, Eilish, Silk Sonic and Brandi Carlile.

Mickey Guyton has said that her 9-month-old son is "stable" after being admitted to the ICU due to a stomach bug.

Giving an update on Instagram on Grayson's condition, Guyton said he fell ill on November 11. On examination at the hospital, it was found to be "dehydration because of a severe stomach bug."

"Seeing my baby boy like this was truly terrifying," according to the country singer.

"A pediatric doctor named Dr. Grace, stayed by Grayson's side the entire time we were in the ER, discovered the problem and help[ed] create a plan to heal baby Grayson," Guyton added.

Guyton married lawyer Grant Savoy in June 2017. She gave birth to Grayson in January this year.

She said the couple's family doctor, Dr. Nathan Ford also took action and helped Grayson secure a bed at the hospital despite all of the hospitals in the area being "maxed out and understaffed because of nurse shortages."

Guyton told fans that her son is "doing much better," "stable" and "improving."

"He is still dehydrated and weak and has lost weight from not being able to retain any liquid. Despite all of this, Gray is a fighter and his labs are showing he is headed in the right direction," Guyton noted.

Taylor Swift Shares 'Sad Girl Autumn' Version Of 'All Too Well'

Taylor Swift Shares 'Sad Girl Autumn' Version Of 'All Too Well'

Taylor Swift recently released "All Too Well (Sad Girl Autumn Version)," just a few days after delivering an emotional 10-minute version of "All Too Well" on "Saturday Night Live."

"One of the saddest songs I've ever written just got sadder. Drove up to Long Pond Studios to record 'All Too Well (Sad Girl Autumn Version)' with the besties," Swift tweeted, tagging frequent collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jonathan Low.

The new version sees Dessner, who played a key role in the creation of both Folklore and Evermore, playing the piano.

"I had never played 'All Too Well' but I've listened to it so many times it must have been seared into my musical memory," Dessner said of the song in a post on Instagram.

"Somehow this Sad Girl Autumn Version felt like it was already in the brisk air," he added. "It felt so good to play it on the creaky 'Cardigan' piano and Taylor's performance is devastatingly beautiful."

Swift recorded the new version "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" in Dessner's Long Pond Studios in upstate New York, where she filmed her Disney+ documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions last year.
