QUEENSBURY – Overnight lane closures and delays will be expected on Quaker Road with the stretch of road between Route 9 and Warren Street as work continues on the road after the Labor Day holiday weekend on Tuesday, September 5th.
The road work will continue until the start of the Adirondack Balloon Festival on September 21st. The road and lane closures on Quaker Road will be constrained to weeknights 8PM and 6PM. The work will include milling and resurfacing the road, configuring traffic signals as needed, and re-paving the affected stretch of road.
This road work will result in detours and delays, so alternate routes should be planned to avoid the area altogether. Road crews will continue working work to rehabilitate the nearly 4 mile road that curves around the northern and eastern sides of Glens Falls back, and is expected to be completed by the beginning of October.
